With the increasing popularity of a gaming smartphones among the masses, now almost every smartphone manufacturers wants a gaming smartphone in their product lineup that includes manufacturers like Asus,Xiaomi,Razar,Nubia etc .
Now coming back to Asus , as we know already Asus is gearing up to launch their next ROG series smartphone - ASUS ROG Phone 2 in China on 23 July . Earlier the company has already confirmed that the device will be powered by the all new qualcomn snapdragon 855+[is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 855 with higher clock speeds of the CPU and GPU] chipset making it the world's first gaming phone with the new Snapdragon 855 Plus chip . Yesterday the device appeared on TENAA with its images and revealed a few specs .
ASUS ROG PHONE 2 SPECIFICATIONS
The phone will sport a 6.59" OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2340x1080 resolution that features a three different refresh rates including 60, 90 and 120 Hz refresh rate . The handset will feaure a In-display fingerprint scanner and a dual front firing speaker.
Under the hood it will be powered by snapdragon 2.95GHz octa-core 855+ chipset which as per asus is 4.2 percent [CPU] improvement over Snapdragon 855 chipset and 15 percent faster[GPU] than the Adreno 640 GPU which is present on old snapdragon 855 SoC. As far as Memory options goes the phone will offer in 8/12 GB of RAM and 128GB, 512GB, and 1TB On-board Storage.
In terms of optics, The ROG Phone 2 will sport a dual rear camera setup which are arranged horizontally, consisting of a 48MP [imx 586] primary sensor and an unknown resolution of secondary sensor most probably it will be an ultra wide sensor accompanied by the LED flash . while on the front it will boast a 24MP selfie camera .
The device packs a massive 5,800 mAh battery that will support 30W fast charging and runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
There is no other information about specs and pricing revealed yet but as the ASUS ROG 2 is scheduled to launch on 23 July in China we should expect more details or leaks soon .
